So after obsessing over plants, trees and nature in general this year, I got myself focused and produced a series of four DVDs for The Gnomon Workshop on how to create natural environments with Maya. With over thirty hours of lecture, they are intense and in-depth, and will hopefully help a wider range of 3D artists delve into this awesome category of work. While many of you may think that creating this type of work is 'hard', it is really a matter of dedicating the time to master the tools in a methodical and efficient way. Granted, it is a big commitment to do so, but if you are passionate about it, the time passes by in a blur and, before you know it, you are creating things that you did not think possible. I hope that the training I produce helps inspire people to take the plunge into the world of 3D, whether you want to work in film, games or any other industry where 3D has become a critical creative tool.
